Calibration controls
Dark-spot detection mode Raw counts any darkening as a spot, including lighting shadows — what the live app scores with again as of 2026-08-12. Shadow-corrected removes smooth lighting gradients, shipped 2026-08-10 then reverted: it can suppress real spots when acne is dense (found 2026-08-12: a face with visible widespread acne scored green) — the fitted plane bends through the disease itself instead of just the lighting. Robust re-fit excludes likely-spot pixels before fitting the plane, so real spots can't drag the baseline toward themselves as much, while a true lighting ramp (nothing to exclude) still gets removed — tested against the same two photos and still not a clean fix, not shipped. Acne and Flek hitam only.

Load the same face under several lightings; the spread column is max minus min, the number this project has always calibrated against.

Fine tuning

If a concern reads too high or too low on a face you can judge by eye, nudge it here. Units are score points, so −12 means "this should read 12 lower".
